40 years of advances.
Doing one thing and doing it well—that’s the Paladin story. Little did we realize in 1964 (then known as Bradco and producing attachments for gas distribution) that our attachment focus would allow us to better meet the needs of a rapidly growing and changing market.
Eight years after our start, we changed our name to American Trencher, Inc., greatly expanding the products we offered and gaining recognition for quality. With a buyout by Metapoint Partners in 1996, we changed our name again to ATI Global, and enhanced our capabilities by purchasing The Major in 1998.
The benefits of many attachment brands working together soon became evident, and in 1999 the acronym ATI was changed to mean Attachment Technologies, Inc. This began a series of strategic purchases over four years, including McMillen, C&P Enterprises and Badger Attachments.
In order to focus our resources on harnessing and expanding the potential of the company’s products, Norwest Equity Partners purchased Attachment Technologies, Inc., along with Pengo Corporation in 2003.
Renamed Paladin in 2004, the company keeps pace, marrying engineering resources and technology to maintain its position at the forefront of attachment manufacturing. Our brands represent a deep history of product innovation, customer service, and industry know-how. Other companies may be closing doors, but we're opening new ones by steadily introducing new products and technologies. It's our commitment to our customers—while we may be an industry leader, we will never be standing still.
